EMOTIONALISM
This series explore the emotional complexities of the human subject through the lens of my own personal experiences. I don’t think of my figures as ‘nudes’ but honest, vulnerable and raw without an armor or protective covering. I have learned to view vulnerability not as weakness but as courage and the price of a meaningful life.

SMALL PAPER ABSTRACTS
As tensions in the US peaked in 2020 and the Covid pandemic soared, I drew inspiration from events unfolding. Representational work seemed unequipped to express my state of mind and this abstract series was born. Small, intimate and on paper like the pages of a journal. Since then, this has become my morning ritual. Each piece captures the emotion of the moment with spontaneity and courage.

South African artist currently based in Savannah, Georgia, USA. Antoine specialize in emotionally driven abstract and figurative art. She is a veteran of over 70 exhibitions and have lived on 4 continents.
